Georgian Bay Great Lakes Foundation will assist these McMaster University projects in 2019.
This spring and summer GBGLF is supporting research at a higher level than previously. We are continuing to support McMaster University Professor Pat Chow-Fraser’s wetlands, water quality and fishery research including the impacts of the 2018 Key River Fire and the damage to Georgian Bay wetlands caused by excessiveky high water levels.
For many years GBGLF has supported McMaster University’s Professor Pat Chow-Fraser and her team of researchers with both financial assistance when needed and with ongoing logistical support: firstly to find free accommodation for the researchers (which counts as “donations in kind” for matching funding purposes). There is also a financial role for other projects: to fill gaps in funding from government and McMaster University.
